Opening Night Celebrations
October 21
Join us in the Antler Room of the Ross Hotel at 5:30pm for opening night celebrations of the Ross Tin Can Sculpture Show 2022.
The exhibition will be open to preview at Thistle Inn Stable Gallery from 4pm before the event begins across the road at the Ross Hotel. Light snacks will be provided and drinks available for purchase from the bar.
As part of the Ross Tin Can Sculpture Show, the Ross Hotel Antler Room will be host to Patrick Sutczak's exhibition “Grasslands".

Long Lunch with Conversations
October 22
Taking place from 12:30pm to 3:30pm on the second day of the Ross Tin Can Sculpture Show is the Long Lunch with Conversations. Held in the beer garden of the Historic Ross Hotel, the day will consist of a series of conversations with artists and arts patrons, as well as a long lunch provided by The Ross Hotel, and music by local musician Brett Harris. The ticket price includes entry to the event and food.

Sculpture Walk & Seek
October 28 - November 5
Join the people of Ross and Sculpture Tasmania in a walk around the historical streets of Ross Village to discover an array of sculptures displayed in local shopfronts. Start at the Thistle Inn Stable Gallery to collect your map and list of sculptures to spot, return your list at the end for the chance to win a prize!

Ephemeral Sculpture Workshops
October 29
Anyone of any age is invited to join us from 10:00am to 3:30pm in the gardens of the Ross Hotel to play and experiment in the spirit of sculpture.
We will be using found, foraged and organic materials to create art that isn't meant to last.
Participation is free and all are welcome.

Closing Night Under the Stars
November 5
Taking place from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on the closing night of the Ross Tin Can Sculpture Show, join us in The Paddock for an evening of music, food, drinks and fire pits. There will be hay bales to sit on, fire pits to keep you warm, and food and drinks to enjoy while you listen to Jed Appleton (Hobart) perform a selection of originals and covers.
Music:
Live performance by Jed Appleton from Hobart. Jed left school at the ripe age of 16 to begin touring across the world, releasing 9 albums from a collection of 200+ songs and has shared the stage with the likes of Passenger, Matt Corby, The Cat Empire, Julien Baker & Stu Larsen. Tasmania’s Voice of the Year (2017) fascinates crowds with his unique blend of dynamic rhythmic stylings on his acoustic guitar alongside smooth but powerful textures from his raw vocals accompanied by a strong lyrical sense far beyond his years.

Provided by The Ross Hotel will be a selection of tassie craft beers, ciders and wines for purchase at our outside bar, as well as a food stall selling pulled lamb or pork damper rolls.
